Elm Plank Bench - White Shearling Sheepskin Bolster
A narrow elm plank bench with a loose white shearling sheepskin bolster. The top is a single solid plank, silvered and checked, with saw marks and split ends left as they are. Four splayed legs are through-tenoned into the plank, pegged from above, with a stretcher and a diagonal brace at each end.
New elm, worked to read as old. The bolster sits loose on the plank and leaves bare wood showing at both ends, so it lifts off whenever you want the plank on its own. Shearling has a short dense pile with a soft hand-feel.
The seat plank is roughly 5-6" wide. This is a perch and a styling piece, not primary seating.
